They are actually Coypu (aka Nutria) – https://animalia.bio/coypu – the big old ones are kind of homely with orange teeth but the younger ones are pretty cute. They hang around in an area near an outdoor cafe on the Ljubljanica river which runs through the center. People feed them carrots, etc so they are pretty bold about coming up to you.

Aha! That was my question, what are the small/medium/large critters so neatly lined up on their rocks? Good to know. Nutria sounds like a vitamin supplement though, doesn’t it? Coypu is a better name. Love the graffiti (graffito?) and the gorgeous rainbow you caught. Keep exploring and taking pictures! I appreciate the vicarious travel. 🙂
